Cynthia Ann Alexander

Cynthia Ann Alexander, 63, a sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, and loving soul, passed away peacefully at her home in Pacific, Washington, on Tuesday, May 13th, 2025. Cindy was born on a Wednesday, during the morning hours of August 16th, 1961, in Colville, WA, as the fourth child (third daughter) to her parents, Clarence and Angie Fuchs. The Fuchs family eventually settled in Ephrata, WA, where she spent most of her childhood, surrounded by her parents, eleven siblings, and friends. Cindy attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Elementary School, Ephrata Junior High, and Ephrata High School. Her early years were steeped in faith and the buzz of a large, loving family – a foundation that would anchor her spirit for the rest of her life. It was in Ephrata that Cindy met her future husband, Clint Alexander, and where they would be married on October 3, 1981. The couple began their married life in Soap Lake, WA, where Cindy worked for the Postal Service before pouring her heart into motherhood. After the birth of their first son, the Alexanders moved westward to Seattle, WA, and in 1989, they settled down in Pacific, WA; it would be there where she would raise her children, welcoming two more sons and a daughter, and experience the joy of being a grandmother to her two grandsons. Being of devout Catholic faith, Cindy attended church at St. Rose of Lima parish with her family as a child and even considered a life of devotion as a nun after graduating from high school (something her children and grandchildren are fortunate never came to fruition). She continued her faith in motherhood, attending Holy Family Parish with her children in Auburn, WA. Cindy was a stay-at-home mom during her children’s formative years, rejoining the workforce in 2001 when she embarked on a career with the Auburn School District by becoming a member of the Kitchen Staff at Mt. Baker Middle school. After several promotions, she eventually accepted the position of Kitchen Manager at Olympic Middle School in 2009 – providing for children, preparing food with love, and building relationships with co-workers who became dear friends; she embraced this role with joy and dedication until her passing. Cindy loved baking, cooking, solving puzzles, and spending time with her expanding family. She loved everything about being a mother to her children and making her home one full of people, good food, and happy memories. In the last six and a half years, she excelled in her new role as Grandma, indulging every whim of her grandsons – making crafts, watching movies, cooking pizza and taco salad, conducting science experiments, having sleepovers, and SO MUCH more. Cindy was a beacon of joy in every life that she touched. Her time on Earth was marked by laughter, love, and her faith in God. The emptiness that follows her passing has been palpable for everyone and our hearts ache in her absence. Cindy is survived by her four children and their partners, Bryan and Sierra, Kevin, Nick and Cassidy, and Katie and Chris, along with her husband, Clint, her two grandchildren, Hayes and Brooks, and Steve, the family wiener dog. She is also survived by her eleven siblings and their spouses, Joe and Patti, Jane and Dave, Jean and Rob, Tina and Julie, Tim and Rita, Tom and Colleen, Jim and Karen, Bob and Lori, Gerry and Lisa, Deanna and James, and Chris and Karlee. She rests now with her parents, Clarence and Angie Fuchs, in the arms of the Lord. Services will be held Friday, May 30th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Ephrata, Washington. Viewing is scheduled from 9:00am to 10:00am, the Rosary will begin at 10:00am, and a funeral mass will follow at 10:30am. Graveside services at the Ephrata Catholic Cemetery will take place immediately following the funeral mass.
