Jane Walkowski

Jane Walkowski, of Soap Lake, WA. passed away on May 11,2019, surrounded by her family, due to heart failure and complications of old age. Jane was 91 and attributed her longevity to having wonderful friends who checked on her, along with her commitment to following a rigid schedule and the care of her longtime physician, Dr. Alex Brzezny. Jane was born January 24,1928 to Emily Pearl and Willis James Mclntyre in Burlington, Iowa, where she was raised and educated. She lived a full and happy life, always placing emphasis on the things that truly mattered to her, such as her family and her strong faith in God. She found great happiness raising her children, being a wonderful cook and keeping an immaculate home and yard. Jane was a longtime member of the Lakeview Golf and Country CIub, having achieved three holes in one and several awards before her health forced her to retire. Jane always had a sense of style and dignity, and would always tell you her true feelings, even if it was difficult to hear. She was a very strong and extremely independent woman who raised her children to appreciate integrity and have faith in God to help them through their trials in this life, especially that of feeling her loss at this time of year just prior to Mother's Day. She was a wonderful mother. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts, as well as those friends and neighbors who were so close to her. Jane is predeceased by her parents, four siblings and two husbands, William G. Sattree, and John Walkowski. She is survived by her two childrerl Debra I. Natali (Carl, deceased) and William J. Sattree [Gerri), six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all those from Assured Hospice who provided excellent care and compassion to our mother these past five months. We also express our deep appreciation to her dear friends who visited and loved her. Her memorial service will be held at the Community Evangelical Free Church, where she was a member for over forty years, on Saturday, May 18th at 11:00 am, Pastor Derrick Olson presiding.
