Raul Juarez Jr. Raul was born on February 19, 1970 in Moses Lake to Raul (Roy) Juarez and Alice Martinez. On January 1, 2015 at 7:55pm he passed away at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, surrounded by his wife, family and friends. Raul suffered complications from polycystic kidney disease for many years. He endured almost a decade of dialysis, including years of home hemo-dialysis performed by his wife. Raul is survived by his wife, Angella Juarez (Ephrata), children, Raul (Zeke) Juarez (Quincy) and Miguel Juarez (Oroville) and step-children, Angel Mankel (Los Angeles, CA), Annika Mankel (Ephrata), Bruce Mankel (Arizona City, AZ) and Ceianne Mankel (Ephrata). Also left behind are his grandparents, Vicente and Petra Juarez (Royal City) and five siblings, Stella Juarez (Wilson Creek), Jennifer Juarez (Ephrata), Ernie (CJ) Juarez (Seattle), Vanessa Matoon (Texas) and Jacob Juarez (Texas). Raul leaves behind a number of aunts and uncles located in Quincy, Moses Lake and Royal City. Raul grew up in Royal City with his grandparents, aunts and uncles. He attended elementary, middle and high school there. In high school he achieved a number of titles in weight lifting. Most probably remember him for his wild side back in those days! Later he went on to become a youth pastor and member of the worship team at the Quincy Spanish Assembly of God church. There he touched many lives and aided even more in their journey to accepting God as their Lord and Savior. His preaching will never be forgotten, neither will he. Raul worked at various places over the years, Colstor (Quincy), Rancho Royale, Eddies Trucking Service (Moses Lake) and Akins (Quincy). His hobbies included collecting pallets and building various things with them, online gaming and spending time with his family. Raul also love to play the guitar. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell.....no matter how much pain he might have been in. Raul was by far one of the strongest people most of us ever knew. He fought a brave, long fight and when he saw his chance to go home to our Lord, he took it! Knowing he is at peace, no longer in pain and finally free is all the comfort we can ask for! A viewing will be held on Friday, January 9th, 2015 at Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata from 6-8pm. A service will be held Saturday, January 10th, 2015 at Bethlehem Chapel in Ephrata at 11am. A graveside service will follow at Guarding Angels Cemetary in Moses Lake.
