Carl Franklin Morris Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carl F. Morris, 77, passed away Friday, June 4, 2021 at his longtime home in Ephrata, Washington. He was born October 27, 1943 in Kirkland, Washington, never missed a single day of elementary school and was a straight A student. Carl worked as a Soap Lake firefighter and police officer before becoming a proud member of the Iron Workers Union which he retired from. After retirement Carl left the big city for a slower paced life in Ephrata. Carl loved fishing, hunting, camping, and Nascar. He spent hours upon hours making jerky and smoked meats, jelly, and canning goods for himself and to share with those he loved. He took great pride in his lawn and garden and would not rest until it was perfect for the week, just in time to start again. Carl loved to joke and had an infectious laugh many enjoyed about him. He is preceded in death by his parents Helen and Howard Raymond; loving wife Delores J. Morris; and daughter Tonya Sherman. He is survived by his longtime companion Margi Smith and her son Chris Smith; daughters Leisa Sherman and Deborah Wright; grandchildren Jessica Hunter, Friendly Wright, Nicole Lance, Stephani Sherman, Alan Sherman, Jaesha Sherman, Crissa Sherman, Weston Smith and Seige Smith; great-grandchildren Alexis Brown, Dakota Brown, Harper Hunter, Hailey Lance and Kailey Lance; great great-grandson Stephen; and his best friend, Timothy Horton. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at Nicoles Funeral Home, 157 C Street N.W. in Ephrata.
