Chris Melinda McLean, 57, a resident of Ephrata, Washington, passed away suddenly on Sunday February 23 2020. She was born June 29th 1962 in Wenatchee, WA. to Maudie Marie Evans(Baughman) and Labin E. Evans. Melinda, as her closest called her, greatly enjoyed time with and dearly loved all of her near and extended family. She was everyone’s Aunt Melinda she spent as much time talking with, being there for, and doing anything she could for nieces, nephews and siblings as she did her own children. She always offered an ear, unconditional love, kindness and support for anyone who needed it. She especially enjoyed time with her darling grandchildren which had become the focus of her life, and the joy of her future. She was one of the most beautiful women both inside and out, her light and warmth touched everyone she met, all throughout her days she offered and preached the wisdom of what it means to love, be kind to others and be true to your heart. Melinda is survived by her daughters, Ariel McLean, Tacoma, Wa.; Tessa Evans, Soap Lake, Wa; and Heather Cairns of Missouri. Her Grandchildren: Kaden, Navaeh, Ashton, Avery, Aurora, Oriana, Charlie and Atreyu. Her siblings: Carol Avey, Joey Evans and Ronald Smith all of Wenatchee Wa. Mike Baughman and Kathy Bachman of Soap Lake Wa. She was preceded in death by her parents Maudie Baughman and Labin Evans. Her brother Richard Smith and her beloved daughter Jessica McLean. A memorial service will be held Tuesday March 3rd 2020 11am at Memorial Christian Church, 453 E. Division Ave., Ephrata.
