Dean Craig
December 1, 1918 - May 15, 2019
Dean Everett Craig, born December 1st, 1918 to Floyd and Adaline Craig. Dean attended Coulee City High School, graduating in 1938. After high school Dean began working at Pacific Power and Light in Albany Oregon as a lineman. He married Edwina Rhodes and soon started a family. Cathy was born first, then Juanita, Christine, Dean JR., and Floyd III. Later Dean & Edwina moved their family to Yakima where Dean built a two story house. Dean loved to go fishing on the Columbia River with all his family and friends. At Pacific Power & Light, Dean would climb poles, but not before saying a silent prayer, because he knew there was danger up there. Dean lost a finger and a toe and spent a lengthy time in the hospital after a terrible surge of very high voltage went through his body. After retiring, Dean and his wife moved to Ephrata. Edwina passed away in 2006 and Dean reached 100 years old before passing away on May 15th, 2019. We’ve done nothing to deserve that perfect home up above, it was given freely by Jesus through His suffering and love. Then why should earthly cares weigh down upon us so, they’ll be a distant memory, when home to heaven at last we’ll go. Dean is in heaven now, he crossed that river, and entered that open gate, angels are cheering, welcoming Dean home, receive Jesus now before it’s forever too late. Our thanks to The Bread Of Life Church, and to all our good friends at Columbia Basin Hospital/Nursing Home/Assisted Living Facility.
