Gloria See, 74, of Ephrata, Washington, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 2, 2020, from a massive internal heart attack, after having shoulder surgery on September 29th, 2020. She was born on July 19, 1946 to William Eugene and Lola Byington Burt in Pocatello, Idaho. She had 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 3 step sisters, 3 step brothers and 1 half sister. At 16 she married Clint Shaw and had 2 sons, Brent and Ben, they later divorced. She married Jerry Kantola and had 1 daughter, Tammy (Jeremy) Conner, and 1 son, Rick (Kelly) Kantola. They later divorced. She married James See and moved to Fairbanks Alaska in 1982. They later divorced. She lived and worked there until her son Ben was injured in a motorcycle accident and become a quadriplegic. In 1998 she moved to Arizona, after many trips back and forth to take of Ben. He passed away on February 6, 2018 at age 53 and her son Brent, who was also living there, passed away on August 9, 2018 at age 55, 6 months later. She had 2 grandson's, Ryan and Ivan Kantola, and 3 great granddaughters, Avery (Marsh), Kylah (Stuebs), and Avah (Carver). She retired from Friendship Village in Mesa, Arizona in February 2019, after working there for 20 years, and moved to Ephrata, Washington to be around her daughter and grandchildren. She loved owls and collected many owl things, she was a good bowler for many years, and used to coach, she loved the outdoors, fishing, some hunting, 4 wheelers, jet skis, snowmobiles, waterskiing, she tried it all, but most of all, she loved her family and being a mom more than anything and was always here for all of us. Her smile, her laugh, her glow, he spirit for life, her tough soul and her love, will be forever missed and irreplaceable.
