Helen Potiuk Poston It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Helen Poston, 83, of Soap Lake. She was surrounded by her children and received into the arms of her Savior on June 4, 2012 at McKay Memorial Health Care. Born July 7, 1928 in Warspite, Alberta, Canada Helen was a vivacious spirit who embraced and passed on her Ukrainian heritage through traditions, food, and music. Helen enjoyed collecting knick-Knacks, gardening, and dancing. Though her most important legacy is her family whom she love and supported. Helen was preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Potiuk and her brother Stan Potiuk. She is survived by her siblings, Jean, Peter (Anne), Leona, Ollie, Mary Frances, and Don (Carol); and her children: Leslie, Donald (LuAnn), Lisa (Chris), Martin (Maelyn), Lori, Johnna (Wayne); 20 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 5 to 7 PM at Nicoles Funeral on Thursday, June 7, 2012 and Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Friday, June 8, 2012 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with the blessing of Grave site to follow at Valley View Memorial Park.
