    Korey Allen Kolves

    December 7, 2005 - March 30, 2014

Korey Allen Kolves, Age 8, passed away on Sunday, March 30th just outside of Coulee City in an accident. Korey was born on December 7, 2005 in Moses Lake, Washington. He was the youngest of three children. Korey was in the 2nd grade at Columbia Ridge Elementary. He loved singing, reading, coloring, fishing, soccer, baseball, riding bikes, pogo sticks, playing video games and legos. He enjoyed going to Cannon Beach every summer and attending AWANA every Wednesday. He is survived by his mother, Holly Swem, Step-Father Steve Swem, both of Ephrata, brothers, Kaden, age 12 and Kyler age 11. He is further survived by his Grandparents Dick and Andrea Kinart of Moses Lake, Wa. Doris Matlock of Soap Lake, Wa; Vern and Kay Kolves of Moses Lake, Wa; and Pat Rybisky of Tacoma, Wa; cousins Brett, Brianna, Brooke, and Brennen Bazaldua of Ephrata, and Scarlett White of Moses Lake; Uncle Ben and Aunt Heidi Bazaldua of Ephrata, Aunt Michell of Tacoma, Wa; Aunt Harmony White of Moses Lake, Aunt Melody and Uncle Jay Sheriff of Moses Lake. Korey was a joy to all those around him; quick with a hug and a smile. His love for life was contagious, not wanting to miss out on a thing. Korey had been nominated as Student of the Month for being compassionate towards others. He loved helping other students in the classroom. At 4 years old, Korey accepted Jesus as his savior. He will always be loved and missed and now he is walking with God and singing his song, "I Can Only Imagine." His family requests that any donations made for Korey would go to the AWANA organization at the Ephrata First Baptist Church, 327 C Street SW, Ephrata, WA 98823.
