Shirley Ann Devany Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Shirley Ann Bradley Devany, 85, of Quincy, WA passed away at home on August 3, 2021 with her family by her side. She was born on June 30, 1936 in Del Rio, TX to Robert Lester and Ethel Marie (Timberlake) Bradley. Shirley married the love of her life, James Vincent Devany in Waco, TX on April 13, 1957. Jim joined the Airforce, and Shirley was able to stay home and raise her 6 kids. She loved her family and cooking and could make the world’s best fried chicken and enchiladas. As a stay-at-home mom, she also enjoyed pottery and spending time in her garden. Shirley was able to fly all around the world with Jim as his copilot. They travelled to places such as Japan, Holland and Europe. She also enjoyed going to social meetings with the Officer’s Wives Club while Jim was away. They attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Shirley also was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Shirley is survived by her husband James Vincent Devany of Quincy, WA; her daughters: Patricia Ann Riley of Kingston, WA and Suzanne Devany of Wenatchee, WA; sons: James V Devany Jr of Mesa, AZ; William J. Devany of Ellensburg, WA; Michael Devany of Seattle, WA; Brian Devany of Lignum, VA; two brothers: Robert Bradley and Orville Bradley; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be held at 8:30 am on Monday, August 9, 2021 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Rosary to be said at 9:30. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10am.
