Shirley Ann Moyser

Shirley Ann (Dale) Moyser of Quincy, Washington, passed away peacefully at home on July 22, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old. Shirley was born on June 24, 1936, in Indiana to Frank Dale and Vivian (Deever) Dale. While living in California, Shirley met Richard Allen Moyser, a United States Navy officer. After a brief courtship, they were married on October 15, 1957. Their first son, Richard (Rick) Allen Moyser Jr, was born in July 1959, and their second son, David Allan Moyser, completed their family in September 1963. Shirley was devoted to her family and took immense pride in her role as a homemaker. She and Richard eventually settled in Quincy, Washington, where they purchased a home and raised their family. When Richard was diagnosed with Parkinsons disease in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Shirley dedicated herself to his full-time care, lovingly supporting him until his passing in 2002. Shirley's greatest joy was her family. She was especially delighted when her first granddaughter was born in 1981 and again in 1984 with the birth of her second granddaughter. She adored her granddaughters and treasured every moment spent with them. A woman of deep faith, Shirley loved God and lived her beliefs with devotion, kindness, and grace. She was an active and faithful member of the Quincy Church of the Nazarene at the time of her passing. Shirley is survived by her son, David Moyser, her granddaughters, Charity Calloway and Angela (Justin) Purdy, her sister, Iona Cromis, her sister-in-law, Sharon Dale; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Moyser Sr; her parents, Frank Dale and Vivian (Deever) Collins; her brothers, Lewis, Gerald, and Warren Dale; Her sister, Margaret; her son, Richard Allen Moyser Jr; and daughter-in-law, Deanna (Benz) Moyser. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Quincy Church of the Nazarene, 625 Central Avenue N., Quincy, WA. A potluck reception will follow the service.
